Today is my last shift before leaving for the @piercertradeshowuk !! I am so excited to bring my TransModified class there and share education about how to best support medically transitioning clients as they get pierced. One of the things that had me most nervous about opening a business was figuring out how to make that work with my growing passion for teaching and learning in the industry. It’s not very common for someone to open a studio and continue to travel like this. Financially, closing a studio for weeks at a time can be tough. And more than that, the impact on clients if they can’t access their piercer! I was worried- would my in person clients feel left behind? If I stayed- Would I miss out on chances to learn and teach abroad?
.
However this whole process has blown me away with people’s love and support. So many of you this week congratulated me on this journey, and were excited and understanding about my desire to travel and share safe queer piercing education with others. To all of my clients who support me in balancing studio hours with continuing to teach and learn; thank you so much. To @colin_o for helping my clients when I am away. To @_itsanoforme for helping with all the behind the scenes that happens when I travel. And to @sketchy.skelly who helps in all the important ways.
